This is a stunning vintage knife made in Seki, Japan by Tak Fukuta circa 1986 for Frost Cutlery. It measures 15" long overall and features a wood handle and a 10.125" stainless steel blade. We have provided a Marbles nylon sheath to store this knife in (it is a bit short for the blade). Tak Fukuta was the first Japanese member of the American Knife Maker's Guild, and apprentice to Bob Loveless. He hand crafted fine quality knives that impressed his mentor.
Over the years, his factory in Seki, Japan also produced knives for Parker, Valor, Gutmann, Explorer, Frost, and Browning among others. After his passing, several vintage old stock models were found at his warehouse. These are some of these rare finds.
