Vintage Ryan D. Wielkie (RDW) Knives, 10.5 Fighting Knife With 6'' Blade. MINT

Wielkie (RDW) Knives, 10.5 presentation-grade, Fighting Knife with a 6'' mirror-polished, 5160 carbon steel blade, tempered, hardened, hand-honed & polished. Very rare and highly collectible, one-off custom knife made by Ryan Wielkie, from Collins, N. He made knives in a shop with his father, Erryn, in the 1980's & 90's.

This handmade, custom knife is a later one, when Ryan changed his maker's stamp from "RW" to "RDW". His knives are very well-made but scarce. Excellent craftsmanship, fit, finish and smoothness.

Beautiful work and great lines, contours, edges & curves on this piece. Wielkie's knives remind me of Georgel Anderson's, out of Utah, but Ryan uses thicker blade steel. Sculpted, contoured and formed, Ebonywood handle with solid brass guard/ butt and black spacers. 10.5'' w/ 6'' tapered blade & 4.5'' handle.
