My understanding is Joseph Elliot & Sons was a cutlery and razor manufacturing company founded in Sheffield, England, in 1795. Known for exceptional craftsmanship, the company operated for over 150 years before ceasing independent production in the mid-20th century. The knife is solid and tight, no wiggle or looseness. The Bowie style blade measures about 6 inches long.

On one side of the blade it says Joseph Elliot and Sons Cutlers. Above the makers mark are the "C +C" characters with a Maltese cross between them.

It has a full guard. I believe the handle is stag/antler slabs held by 3/pins. There's a small crack where one of the pins penetrates the scale. I believe this is a rarer knife.

I don't know if the sheath is the original. The knife has discoloring, scratches, blemishes, dings, corrosion, wear, etc consistent with a used, vintage knife. Pictures are part of the description. For historical, collectible purposes only, not intended for use.
