Forged in the historic steel hub of Solingen, Germany. This highly collectible post-war set features the specialized multi-tool hatchet head stamped with the German design registry mark D.
The forged hatchet includes an integrated hammer pommel, side nail-puller notch, and a flat pry bar base. It comes paired with its original, nested matching fixed-blade hunting knife and the heavy-duty, multi-riveted brown leather piggyback sheath. Finding these kits completely intact with all original components is incredibly rare. In the spirit of full transparency, this set is in honest, field-used vintage condition.
The steel surfaces on both the knife and hatchet exhibit a heavy natural patina, surface grime, minor pitting, and areas of rust. The multi-snap leather sheath shows typical scuffing, age wear, and dry edges, though the stitching and rivets remain secure.
We have intentionally left this entire set completely uncleaned and unpolished. Vintage collectors prefer to handle restoration their own way, so we are passing it along exactly as found to preserve its historical integrity. Please review the high-resolution photos carefully to assess the exact cosmetic condition before purchasing.
