Vintage Buck 124 Frontier Bowie knife. 1988 limited edition

A very nice, slightly used 1988 Buck 124!! The Frontier has a reputation for collectability and usefulness in the field. Special edition with beautiful color Rosewood handle scales and a rare blade etch. Full profile tang blade of 425M stainless steel. In 1986 Buck switched from 440 stainless to 425 M for better edge retention.

Then in 1994 switched again to their 420Hc which they use today. Many people prefer 425M to 440 and 420Hc for its hardness(57-59Rc), edge retention and corrosion resistance. A rare and highly collectable piece for your collection.
