Up for sale is my used Daniel Winkler Winkler II field knife. I used it out in the field quite a bit. It is still sharp and I have never sharpened it, which is a benefit of the 5160 steel. Below is the description according to the Blade Gallery site. Blade length: 6.80 in. Total length: 10.20 in. Blade height (at heel): 1.50 in. Blade thickness (near bolster): 0.19 in. Item weight: 8.90 oz. Blade: 5160 carbon steel with a non-glare Caswell finish.

Sheath: Ambidextrous leather covered Kydex sheath. Description: Mastersmith Daniel Winkler created the Winkler II line in 2010. It is an alternate approach to an established tradition. Winkler Knives II is the result of processes Daniel Winkler developed over the past few years in order to provide axes and knives to teams within United States Army Special Operations and US Naval Special Warfare.

Each piece in this collection bears the Winkler Knives II touchmark. For those wanting a somewhat longer knife, Daniel developed the Winkler Knives II Field Knife. This knife is made from 3/16 thick, 5160 carbon steel. Micarta scales provide a sure, comfortable, non-slip grip. A Caswell finish is both non-reflective and provides limited protection from rust.
