For your consideration: a stunning C A S E XX USA 323-5 Bowie Knife. Perfect for hunting game or collecting.

This quality American made fixed blade knife comes with the vintage CASE XX Black Leather Sheath, and the combo is from my personal collection. This early USA Leather Stacked Handle 323-5 fixed blade knife features the CASE factory 3 Dots dating code. One beautiful vintage hunting / skinning Bowie in "Very Good C ondition" for its age. Ccording to the book, "Official Collectors Knives". The blade stamping indicates the date of.

Not collected, making this Very Good condition difficult to find. The overall knife length is. Fixed blade length measures: 5.

The blade is stamped with the. Year of Production as 1987.

The other side of the blade is stamped. This great collectible hunting/skinning knife has a M irror-like steel blade. The 5 long vintage c lip-point blade has some light short surface scratches / honing marks and has a very good pointed tip.

This reflective 323-5 fixed blade features a 1 1/4 long area of serration or notched thumb rest, for better blade control. The upswept blade is sharp and has a 3 inch long false top edge, that could be sharpened if desired. The rare Case XX leather washer handle on this early 323-5 knife series is not only secure but easy to grip.

The handsome stacked leather rings are tight with. No looseness and there are some. This large handle has a flat-head - shiny aluminum pommel with some short / minor surface scratches on the butt-end (that may buff out). Very secure and measures 1 1/8 long. The aluminum pommel is bright and has a few minor signs of light aging. (I wish all of us had only a few light signs of natural aging :-).

The Case factory's reddish brown & black composite spacers, leathers washer rings, and aluminum fitting s are in " Very Good" condition for being decades old. The vintage CASE XX black leather sheath is also in Exceptionally Good Condition. This heavy-duty sheath has great intact stitching , large belt loop , metal rivets , fastening strap with working snap, and stiff throat area. This companion black leather sheath measures 10 3/4 long and is well preserved...

It does have a little age checking on the belt loop's top-end fold. The front of the sheath is factory stamped. C A S E X X. (Please view photos for details). This early and impressive CASE XX hunting knife.

Is Balanced Well and has a Solid feel to it, when held in your hand. A lot of character and vintage appeal...

With that slight " patina of time" appearance not yet achieved with newer knives. Some rare vintage knives, old collectibles, and Pocher 1/8 scale vintage model car parts.
