Offered for sale is a RANDALL MADE KNIFE Model 21 Little Game Knife. Maker: Randall Made Knives (Orlando, FL, USA). Blade: 3.25 carbon tool steel in upswept point profile. Stamped Randall Made Orlando FLA with double scimitars logo. Top of blade in front of hilt is notched for thumb placement.

5 red-white-blue spacers at hilt. Sheath: Randall (Johnson) Model A brown leather sheath (smooth back) without hone pocket. Hand tooled floral design on toe of sheath front. This tooling was apparently done by Mr. Johnson, making these the only RMK sheaths that he hand-tooled. Reverse is embossed with RMK logo, Andy Thornal Special and 21. RMK Catalog Description: 4-4 1/4 genuine imported stag handle. Top of blade in front of hilt notched for thumb placement.

This looks to be a late 1970s to early 1980s knife, given the period of Thornal sheath special stamping and hand tooling. Notes and Information about this Rare Sheath.

As per Rhett Stidham (Randall Lore #41 Andy Thornal Special). Andy Thornal is a world class, sporting and outfitter's store, in Winter Haven, Florida and has been a RANDALL dealer since 1969. To date there have had three special Randall knives made. A floral design is present below the stone pocket on the front of the sheath. The sheaths were made by Johnson.

The first knives in this series had sheaths with the floral design also, but later on the floral design was discontinued. Also the ANDY THORNAL mark is on the back of sheath. The knife shown here [Model 21 with ATS stamp on reverse but no hand tooled floral design on front] is one of those non special knives with the sheath marked Andy Thornal. This is not the case today and exactly when this stopped is not known for sure but probably in the early 1980s. As per RKS newsletter #47 (8/2000), p.

7, possibly less than 100 ATS marked sheaths were made by Johnson for non-ATS-special knives. See also RKS newsletter #69 (1/2006), p. JUST TO BE PERFECTLY CLEAR , this is NOT an Andy Thornal Dealer Special Randall knife. There is no etching or numbering on the blade. This is one of those non-special knives with an ATS stamped sheath.

The knife is in "excellent to nearly new" condition. I have not been used, carried, sheathed or sharpened the knife. It has been displayed, and handled by me a few times. The blade looks great with a couple of minor spots Original shop edge.

The handle looks good and feels great in the hand. Sheath looks excellent with minor storage wear.

Dark line at throat indicating that the knife has previously been sheathed. Couple of dark spots and scuffs. Approximately 1/2 Scratch across sheath toe (across floral design). Owned and displayed by an adult collector in a smoke free home.
