NEW WESTERN H40 USA CUSTOM KNIFE KALEIDSCOPE JASPER GEMSTONE WithSHEATH S. REED

Picture #9 is showing two H40 Knives and both are listed but I wanted to show the Kaleidoscope next to the other Knife. This is a New Blade from the Boulder Factory in Colorado when it closed in the 70's. This came to in as a finished blank and you will be the first owner of this new Custom Western H40. I decided to use one of the most multicolored Gemstones I've ever seen. I have used this Stone before and I love how nice it looks on a really nice knife.

It's called Kaleidoscope Jasper and I promise this will get noticed. I used copper spacers along with black, silver and red. I did a 2 channel inlay using tiny Red Jasper Poppy Seed Gemstone mixed with copper. The Kaleidoscope is actually laminated to micarta sub straight for strength and the laminated to become one piece handle. The channel construction also adds a fair amount of strength to this build.

I did a flame style file work on the spline of the blade just to add a little detail. This piece come out really good.

The copper highlights the colors and makes for a good match up. Mining Kaleidoscope is an interesting process as the copper and Poppy Seed gemstone are all found near each other.
