This hunting knife is an early example of Kevin's fixed blades. This is a heavy duty knife, made for hard work. It weighs just over 8 ounces, the blade is more than 0.20" thick, and the handle is 0.687" thick. It was made sometime between the late 1970s and late 1980s, when Kevin was living in either Missouri or Illinois.
So, for those of you who are collectors of Kevin's work, this is an early maker's mark. We believe that the polished blade material is either 440C or ATS-34.The handle is an unknown type of wood, and the knife has a nickel silver bolster with some fine sheath marks. There are 7 pins securing the handle scales, and a lined lanyard hole.
It comes with a pouch-type leather belt sheath, made by Kevin. The knife is in excellent, unused condition - no sheath marks on the blade.
The sheath is also in excellent condition. Never carried, used or sharpened. Windy City Knives is a dealer of custom, handmade and collectible knives.
