In person none of these exist; we will say so in the description if it may be otherwise. Made in Solingen, Germany by PIC sometime in the 1950's-60's, this OUTSTANDING old hunting knife is as strong and sturdy a knife as you'll find, made in the style of the legendary Puma White Hunter.

It was made with a VERY thick, sturdy and SHARP carbon steel blade, partially serrated, and hand-forged from some of the best German surgical-grade carbon steel ever forged. As you can see in the photos it is offered here in excellent condition, as you can see, rock solid and ready to go hunting right out of the box.

What truly makes it stand out--what makes it POP--is that it has been given BEAUTIFULLY crafted, custom-made oak handle scales, replacing the original rosewood scales that had cracked after being dropped on hard rock in the California desert. It was re-hafted using oak culled from an old piece of broken furniture using removable brass screw-in rivets, to better clean and maintain this knife for several more lifetimes to come. Blade is reinforced at the bolster with a machined aluminum finger-guard to help keep your fingers where they belong--on your hand. It's a hand-forged piece of substance yet enjoys a surprisingly light feel in the hand, with exceptional balance.

At 11" long with a 6.25" blade that's 3/16 thick, it's an ideal piece for self-defense and woe be unto whomever might be stupid enough to get on the wrong end of it. Comes in a VERY high-quality leather sheath by Tom Gordon of Chicago, MUCH more handy and well-made than the original (flimsy sheaths were often the bane of excellent German hunting knives).

The knife has been used and was made to be used but it has no problems and will continue to serve for generations--ready to add some true quality to any collection.
