Sad to see them all go, but it's time. From the original Pathfinder School/Self-Reliance Outfitters website (2012): The Pathfinder Scout is designed from the ground up to be a traditional frontier knife with modern construction techniques, and the Blind Horse quality you've come to expect. Marked as "used" because you are not getting it directly from the maker.

I have had this original and authentic Blind Horse Knives PATHFINDER SCOUT in my collection for many years. The knife is all-original and has not been modified in any way. I have never carried or used this knife in any way. This knife dates back to Blind Horse Knives' mid/late-2012 production, about 9 months prior to the split between Battle Horse Knives and L. These Blind Horse Knives PATHFINDER SCOUT's are getting increasingly hard to find, especially in this hardly-seen, unused condition.

As you can tell, this SCOUT has the old Blind Horse Knives (NOT Battle Horse Knives) logo with Dave Canterbury's Pathfinder School/Self-Reliance Outfitters' logo... This knife is no longer in production and hasn't been for some time. Battle Horse Knives does sell a similar knife, but not with these logos. This is also an early piece and you can tell by the natural phenolic resin handles.

The handle on later SCOUTs was changed to a light brown/tan canvas micarta. Although the new owner may decide to use this knife, I have kept it as a collector's piece all these years.

The knife has very little sign of age with no indications of use. There may be a very few patina spots on the blade stock. This SCOUT features a sabre-ground 01 tool steel blade and is so marked, natural phenolic resin (Micarta) handle scales, brass and stainless Loveless-bolts for hardware, and a brass lanyard tube. The knife has Blind Horse Knives' original sharp edge. This PATHINDER SCOUT has an overall length of 10.9", a blade length of 5.7", and a handle length of 5.2.

The blade stock thickness is 0.148" or, commonly, 5/32". The right-handed leather sheath is in outstanding "near-new" condition. The sheath could be wet-formed if the new owner decides this is what they want to do.
