Antique 1800s 19th Century American German Shell Guard Hunting Sword Knife

Antique 1800s 19th Century American German Shell Guard Hunting Sword Knife. The iron Shell Guard is very well made, I wish it was maker Marked, many very nice Daggers made in the 1830's like this one were not marked. I looked, I can not see one. This dagger is iron mounted with checkered handle and is in excellent condition. The pommel cap is iron and flat on the top. The top 6 of the blade has a double edge grind for gutting. The old Carbon Steel Bowie style blade is in excellent condition and it's length is 16 1/4" and the total length is 21 3/4".
