1986: Kershaw Model 1005 Survival Kit- Imported Knife of the Year. These survival knives were manufactured in limited quantities and discontinued in 1988. 6 3/4" AUS 6 Stainless steel bead blast finished Blade features a double row of saw teeth on the spine and is 1/4" thick. Knife measures 12 3/4 overall. Rubberized hollow handle is finger grooved for a sure grip.

Handle features a waterproof screw on butt cap. The survival kit came with 3 kits; the compass pkg. A plastic container inside the handle with fish hooks, etc. And another packet of supplies with survival cards, band aids and other items. Even the Brunton Compass and instruction are with this kit.

Includes a unique heavy duty nylon sheath that includes a special storage pocket in the front that houses a high quality compass. (Compass is made by Brunton USA). Study the pictures of the knife and you can see the blade is original, no apparent marks, signs of use or sharpening.

Sheath is in excellent condition. Plastic Cover for saw back edge has been taped but protects. The compass kit, the handle kit, the packet of supplies, the box and instructions are included. It is a complete Kershaw 1005 survival kit. Blade Material: AUS 6 Stainless.
